CM FIRE DEPARTMENT (ADMIN) TEAM (Allendale & Grand Rapids)
*This is an intern-only team; more information can be found in the intern application process*

We believe that good systems & operations are important because when systems are functioning well, we can spend our time & energy caring for our people, not fixing problems & putting out fires! Might we even call ourselves the Campus Ministry Fire Department (CMFD)? In order to have longevity in our ministry, we need to plan ahead. This team will have the opportunity to play a significant role in CM operations, both learning how CM works “under the hood” and playing an integral role in “keeping the vehicle running.” This team will consist of 3 interns, each helping in one of the following areas under the care & guidance of CM Staff:

CM Task Forces
ReUnion // SERVE // Diversity
If you become a CM Intern or Student Leader, you will have the opportunity to be part of one of these groups focused on important conversations for CM. If you are interested in one of these task forces and the meeting schedule works for you, you will be able to indicate this on your Intern or Leadership application. Someone will be in touch with you when we are ready to gather those interested and begin these conversations next fall.
REUNION TASK FORCE
This group will be made up of one Intern or Leader from each CM Leadership team who will work together with the CM Staff to plan/dream/create our CM ReUnion experiences. Just like a ReUnion is a joining of our communities into one time and space, the planning process for this event also will join many teams and many perspectives.
TIME COMMITMENT & RESPONSIBILITIES
- This group will meet 2-3 Tuesdays a semester from 10am-12pm in Allendale, dates TBD
- Together with some members from the CM staff, we will consider the creative elements, experiences, and environment at ReUnion- using our unique skills & perspectives to think through a student's experience at this event from start to finish. We recognize that ReUnion is a different & potentially more invitational event - let's take advantage of that and really dream about what God might want to do!
- In our meetings, we will explore questions about ReUnion that relate to your role as a leader, like:
- How will this event inspire/affect my life groups?
- How can we be particularly “celevitational” at this event?
- What musical or technical dynamics could we experiment with in this space?
- What creative elements could we incorporate into the program?
- …and many more! :)

This group will help create and facilitate a life giving environment where all people can thrive, contribute, and belong in Christ together in th CM community. This task force will exist to help diagnose and evaluate the current culture and climate of CM in Allendale and make necessary steps to hold the organization accountable while developing processes and procedures to change for the better.
